ICFF 2011- Booth801 ICFF came and went very fast! Our tiny 4′ x 4′ booth contained it all; Pictures of our Cast concrete series Olithas, Earlier Tertulia Folding Chairs, and our latest production ready fixed Tertulia chairs in Steel and Wood. Thank you IDSA NY for inviting us to be part of their exhibit and thank you all who came [...] ICFF here [...] ‘Tertulia en Pecan‘ is the latest iteration of the Tertulia Series. It is a fusion of traditional wood craft techniques, and modern sensibility. It features the use of locally harvested and steam bent solid Texas Pecan, and the first collaboration between Studio Efra and Bedre Woodworking. Tertulias can happen in a moments notice, but they can also happen at a fixed place and time. Tertulia Fissa is part of a family of chairs originally derived from the metal curved rods inside [...] Thanks to all who visited! we had a great time getting to know everybody and hope to see you all again next year.

 Tertulia and Olithas at Design Within Reach I’m happy to announce ‘Tertulia’ was selected amongst the 4 winners
(Henry Levine, Efrain Velez, Micaelan Davis, and Agustina Rodriquez ) last night for this year’s M+D+F Design Within Reach Austin Furniture Designer’s show. 12 pieces were chosen finalists, including Olithas. I was very impressed with the overall craft, rigor, and dedication shown by the collection exhibited, and believe now more than ever, that Austin is an up and coming place to be as a young Designer. Thank you all who came to visit, and DWR’s Austin Studio for taking such good care of us, we had a great time! |
