‘Tertulia’ is the Spanish word for gathering, a conversational get together in which people simply sit and exchange their ideas freely. Tertulias can happen in a moments notice, but they can also happen at a fixed place and time. Tertulia Fissa is part of a family of chairs originally derived from the metal curved rods inside a climbing pack and the folding patented and lightweight geometry of earlier folding Tertulia Chairs. This tertulia iteration is however, defined by a stout steel sheet-metal frame, and a fixed geometry. It is heavily bound to site, and it is unapologetic about being an exercise in pure form. You may also call it an Ode to Richard Serra. Dimensions: 34″ x 14″ x 28″ (1/8″ steel) This project is a collaboration between Studioefra, and Colin McIntyre. Please contact us for pricing.
